1REBIL GmbH uses certified papers from sustainable certified paper mills. This makes sure that our purchases come from responsibly managed forests and save forests to be cut unnecessarily. Furthermore, we encourage use of nature friendly recycled paper as a sustainable product. Upon request, we can also use sustainable vegetable-oil based (soy, canola or coconut) inks with the latest mineral-oil free technology. This gives us the possibility to use renewable raw materials to the highest possible proportion. Plus, we can minimize/eliminate petroleum-based mineral oils. Such inks are NAPIM certified and comply with EN71/3, CONEG as well as with the ISO 2846-1. Besides, they allow printing in accordance to the international standard norm ISO 12647-2. For sure, the use of renewable resources is a contribution to environmental sustainability. This not only gives us peace of mind but also helps us work with like-minded partners. This way we drive other organizations in the whole supply chain to improve their own practices as well. 2REBIL Group’s sustainable products (woven labels, leather labels, rivets, D-rings, eyelets, buckles, bond ends, adjusters, rings, badges, cord stoppers, snaps, pullers, hook and eyes, bridges and buttons) are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and OEKO-TEX® Leather Standard both with the best ranking Class 1, the most rigorous certification designed specifically for newborns through toddlers up to the age of three. Such sustainable products are tested for harmful substances at the strictest limit values independently and certified at all stages of production. These inspections cover more than 300 chemicals considered to be dangerous to a baby’s health such as residual pesticides, carcinogenic dyestuffs, phthalates, lead, heavy metals etc. In addition to testing for harmful chemicals, color fastness is tested to ensure that dyes don’t dissolve in babies’ mouth or rub off onto babies’ skin. The results of the inspections have shown that these products meet the human-ecological requirements, up to date medical knowledge, of the standard presently established. Furthermore, they fulfill the requirements of Annex XVII of REACH (incl. the use of azo-dyes, nickel etc.) as well as the American CPSC’s requirement regarding total content of lead in children’s articles, Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). This covers not only the production processes but includes the finishing as well.
